The Johnny Jackson, Jr. Gospel Is Alive! Celebration 2023 Presented by Peoples Health Announcement
The New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Foundation’s Johnny Jackson Jr. Gospel Is Alive! Celebration presented by Peoples Health will be held on Monday, May 1, 2023 from 9:00am to 11:00am at the Franklin Avenue Baptist Church, 2515 Franklin Avenue. The concert is free and open to the public. Seating is limited and attendees are encouraged to arrive early.
Remembering Edward “Kidd” Jordan
It is with heavy hearts that we mourn the passing of a true legend, Edward “Kidd” Jordan, who left us today. All of us at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival and Foundation and the Don “Moose” Jamison Heritage School of Music join the global jazz community in expressing our deepest condolences to his family, friends, and fans.

Music Lineup Announcement for Tremé Creole Gumbo Festival and the Congo Square Rhythms Festival 2023
The Tremé Creole Gumbo Festival and the Congo Square Rhythms Festival will happen concurrently on March 25 and 26, 2023. Both events are celebrating the Faubourg Tremé neighborhood as the birthplace of both jazz and so much of the cherished local culture of New Orleans. The festivals will happen throughout Louis Armstrong Park and Congo Square on Saturday, March 25, and Sunday, March 26, with multiple performance stages and large local food and arts markets.
