Community Partnership Grant Announcement 2024-2025
The New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Foundation is excited to announce the opening of its Community Partnership Grant program. The Foundation begins its grant application season with a staggered opening date. Open today are the Education In-School and Education After-School categories which provide funding for arts education programs in Louisiana schools and after-school programs. Grant applications for the remaining three categories: Presenting, Media Documentation, and the Louisiana Cultural Equity & Creation grants which support performers’ fees, the documentation and exhibition of Louisiana culture and individual artists will open on Monday, May 27th. This year, the organization will continue to support the local creative economy and arts education by increasing the maximum grant request in all five categories from $5,000 to $7500.

The New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Foundation presents the 2024 Louisiana Cajun-Zydeco Festival, celebrating the rich musical traditions of Southwestern Louisiana. This year, the Foundation is featuring Louisiana’s indigenous sounds both outdoors and indoors at the George and Joyce Wein Jazz & Heritage Center, 1225 N. Rampart Street in New Orleans.

The New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Foundation’s Johnny Jackson Jr. Gospel Is Alive! Celebration presented by Peoples Health will be held on Monday, April 29, 2024 from 9:30am to 11:30am at the Franklin Avenue Baptist Church, 2515 Franklin Avenue. The concert is free and open to the public. Seating is limited and attendees are encouraged to arrive early.

2024 Congo Square Rhythms Festival Food Menu and Craft Vendor Announcement
Food menus and craft vendors have just been announced for the 2024 Congo Square Rhythms Festival presented by the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Foundation. The Congo Square Rhythms Festival will be held in Louis Armstrong Park and Congo Square on Saturday, March 23, and Sunday, March 24, featuring two performance stages and large food and arts markets starring a variety of local vendors.

The New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival presented by Shell, the annual celebration of the unique culture and heritage of New Orleans and Louisiana, has just unveiled its very special lineup for the 2024 Festival. The eight-day event, scheduled for April 25 – 28 and May 2 – 5, draws nearly half a million fans each year to the New Orleans Festival to enjoy nationally and internationally renowned guest artists alongside local talents showcasing virtually every style of music across 14 different stages at the Fair Grounds Race Course.
