2023 Volunteer Opportunities
Jazz & Heritage Concerts
Location: George and Joyce Wein Jazz & Heritage Center: 1225 N. Rampart Street, New Orleans
Description: Assist with guest check-in; Help Foundation staff to greet guests, be able to assist guests with any questions they may have. This requires standing and assisting attendees.
Treme Creole Gumbo Festival and Congo Square Rhythms Festival: March 25-26
Location: Armstrong Park, 701 N. Rampart Street, New Orleans
Description: Help Foundation staff to greet and visitors; work with security guards to direct crowds and regulate entry into the
festival areas. Help Foundation staff with the Official Merchandise. This requires standing and assisting attendees
with purchases of merchandise and keeping the booth tidy.
Class Got Brass Competition: April 2
Location: George and Joyce Wein Jazz & Heritage Center: 1225 N. Rampart Street, New Orleans
Description: Help with check-in of schools, guiding school bands into and out of holding areas. This is an event where there is
walking and standing for long periods. Help Foundation staff with the Official Merchandise. This requires standing and assisting attendees with purchases of merchandise and keeping the booth tidy.
Jazz & Heritage Foundation Gala: April 27
Location: Generations Hall, New Orleans, LA
Description: Help Foundation staff to greet and assist Gala attendees; work with Foundation and Auction staff to assist
Gala attendees with directions, assigned sponsor tables, and sign up to make auction purchases and miscellaneous
requests as needed. This is a limited opportunity. Not all who register are guaranteed to be scheduled.
Foundation Board Hospitality at Jazz Fest
Location: Fair Grounds – Grandstand
Description: Help Foundation staff to greet and assist Foundation donors, board members, and their guests; work with security guards to direct crowds and regulate entry into Foundation hospitality area. This is a seated, indoor job and is good for people who want to avoid heat and strenuous activity. This is a limited opportunity. Not all who register are guaranteed to be scheduled.
All volunteers will have access to restrooms and water. Parking is subject to availability. Volunteers must be at least 18 years old.
