The New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Foundation in partnership with the New Orleans Music Education Collaborative (NOMEC) hosts an open-house style demonstration day on Saturday, August 9, at the George and Joyce Wein Jazz & Heritage Center. The event features organizations from across the city showcasing their music education programs and facilitating student registration.

Each organization offers the opportunity to engage with potential students and families and answer any questions about their programs.

A selection of organizations will offer performances to showcase the diversity of music programming by the NOMEC partners.

Participating organizations include Ellis Marsalis Center For Music, Trombone Shorty Foundation & Trombone Shorty Music Academy, Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra, Heritage School of Music, New Orleans Center for Creative Arts (NOCCA), Greater New Orleans Youth Orchestra, NOLA Public Schools, The Roots of Music, Young Starz of NOLA, Music & Mentors, LLC., Girls Play Trumpet Too, and Confetti Park.
