Jazz & Heritage Music Relief Fund - Industry Workers

The Jazz & Heritage Music Relief Fund is a statewide relief fund to support Louisiana's Music Industry Workers who have lost income amid the COVID-19 pandemic.   Read More About the Jazz & Heritage Music Relief Fund Here.

The purpose of this grant is to aid Louisiana Music Industry Workers who have lost a significant amount of income due to the shutdown of live events.  The grant is meant support those who have not found supplemental employment and continue to experience economic hardships. 

Music Industry Workers who applied for this fund in 2020 ARE allowed to apply for this new round of funding. Applications for other cultural groups are forthcoming.

If this information is not entered correctly, you will not receive important communications regarding the status of your application.  Funding determinations will be made after the deadline has passed.

WHO'S ELIGIBLE ? 

An eligible applicant for the Jazz & Heritage Music Relief Fund is one who:

  • *is a current Louisiana resident.
  • *is 18 years and older (grant recipient will be responsible for taxes if applicable). 
  • *has a substantial part of their income that is reliant on live music performances.
  • *is a professional music industry worker who has worked for at least one (1) or more years in Louisiana.

*Upon approval of grant funding, a W9 form will be required before the check can be disbursed.

WHO'S NOT ELIGIBLE ?
Ineligible applicants for this grant are:

  • *individuals who are not music industry workers.
  • *Mardi Gras/Black masking Indians, Social Aid & Pleasure club members, Walking groups,  Individuals who are primarily musicians. 
  • *individuals who live outside of Louisiana
  • *is a full time paid employee of the the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Foundation
