As part of the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Foundation's Sync Up series, Sync Up Cinema is a quarterly event designed to connect local independent filmmakers and audiences with industry insights, works in progress and networking opportunities. Sync Up Cinema is presented by the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Foundation in partnership with NOVAC, with primary sponsorship by the New Orleans Office of Cultural Economy and supported in part by a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts.

Friday, February 5th --NOVAC spotlights the work of two projects. We screen shorts, or clips of longer projects, followed by discussions with the filmmakers and an audience q&a.

Saturday, February 6th--NOVAC presents a film professional to offer insight and curate discussion on the event theme. This episode of Sync Up focuses on Black Lives, and the everyday experiences– from childhood to raising a family– that shape racial privilege and disparity in our country.
