The Jazz & Heritage Music Relief Fund is a statewide relief fund to support Louisiana musicians who have lost income amid the COVID-19 pandemic.  Read More About the Jazz & Heritage Music Relief Fund Here.

The purpose of this grant is to aid Louisiana musicians who have lost a significant amount of income due to the shutdown of live events.  The grant is meant support those who have not found supplemental employment and continue to experience economic hardships. 

Musicians who applied for this fund in 2020 ARE allowed to apply for this new round of funding. Applications for other cultural groups are forthcoming.

After completing this application, you will receive an emailed copy of your application. Please make sure to enter your email address correctly. If this information is not entered correctly, you will not receive important communications regarding the status of your application.  Funding determinations will be made after the deadline has passed.

An eligible applicant for the Jazz & Heritage Music Relief Fund is one who:

  • *is a current Louisiana resident.
  • *is 18 years and older (grant recipient will be responsible for taxes if applicable). 
  • *has a substantial part of their income that is reliant on live performances.
  • *is a professional musician who has worked for at least one (1) or more years in Louisiana.

*Upon approval of grant funding, a W9 form will be required before the check can be disbursed.

An ineligible applicant for the Jazz & Heritage Music Relief Fund is one who is a:

  • *individuals who are not musicians. 
  • *is a full time paid employee of the the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Foundation. Louisiana musicians who volunteer for the Foundation are welcome to apply.
  • *music school student.
  • *musician who lives outside of Louisiana.
