Community Outreach Tickets
The New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Foundation supports community involvement in the 2023 New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival presented by Shell. Each year, thousands of free tickets are distributed to Louisiana social service nonprofits through the Community Outreach Ticket program. Applications are currently being accepted until Monday, March 20th.

The New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival presented by Shell today announced the music lineup for the 2023 event, scheduled for April 28 – May 7.

Remembering Barbara Lacen-Keller
New Orleans culture bearer and activist Barbara Lacen Keller has died at the age of 76. Barbara was a beloved member of the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Foundation’s Board of Directors. She leaves a legacy worthy to be celebrated and remembered for generations to come.

The 23rd annual Jazz & Heritage Gala will kick off Jazz Fest at Generations Hall on the evening of Thursday April 27, 2023. Join us as we celebrate Jazz Fest with great music, food and company!

Our living legacy
The Jazz & Heritage Foundation has a close relationship with assets it supports all year long. These longstanding institutions of heritage are beloved in the community and worldwide.

The New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival is firmly established as a singular celebration of both historic and contemporary significance.

The fully renovated facility includes 7 state-of-the-art classrooms outfitted for music instruction, a 200-seat auditorium, and a recording studio..

The Archive is the repository of materials and information from the Foundation’s various programs and activities — including Jazz Fest.

The George and Joyce Wein Jazz and Heritage Center is our education and performance facility.

The Jazz & Heritage Gala is an annual kick-off celebration to Jazz Fest. It’s also a special opportunity to support the Foundation’s mission to make music education accessible to all kids.
