The New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Foundation’s 2019-2020 Sync Up Workshop Series begins on September 18th with “Make Your Music the Next Hollywood Sound.” Presented in partnership with the New Orleans Business Alliance, this workshop features John Boutté in discussion with Sarah Bromberg (Bonfire Collective), Dino Gankendorff (entertainment attorney, Provosty & Gakendorff), Kyle Lamy (NCIS: New Orleans), and Reid Wick (The Recording Academy/Grammys). Admission is free but please take a moment to RSVP by clicking here (link). Presenters will teach local artists how to clear samples for use, register copyrighted music, and how to get their works into film, commercials, and TV productions.

The first 50 artists who register, attend Sync Up, and sign up and complete an ELLA Project assistance session, will earn a grant from the New Orleans Business Alliance to substantially offset the fees for copyright registration.
