The New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Foundation presents the incomparable Patti Austin in an intimate evening of song on Friday, May 18, in the Lupin Theater at the New Orleans Center for the Creative Arts.

General admission tickets are $35. A small number of "Gold Circle" seats are available for $125; these include premium seating and a champagne reception with the artist following the performance. All proceeds benefit the Heritage School of Music.

A sophisticated vocalist whose style is steeped in jazz, Patti Austin made her debut at the Apollo Theater with Dinah Washington at age four and had a contract with RCA Records when she was only five. She was on tour with bandleader Quincy Jones at age nine and then toured with Harry Belafonte. She continued to perform throughout the '70s, '80s and '90s, winning a Grammy for Best Jazz Vocal Album in 2008.
