2012 Treme Creole Gumbo Festival
Location mapped above.
The fifth annual Treme Creole Gumbo Festival will take place Nov. 10-11, 2012, in New Orleans' Louis Armstrong Park. The festival is a celebration of New Orleans' Treme neighborhood and the melting pot of cultures that led to the creation of jazz - as symbolized by the city's most famous culinary delight, gumbo.
Entertainment will consist of a who's who of New Orleans' brass bands, including the Dirty Dozen, the Stooges and many more.
There will be great music and dancing, a huge arts market and, of course, a wide variety of gumbo to sample.
